Coming home from the first round feeling decidedly second hand was not the intention after high siding my bike, getting hit by it then being run over by another rider leaving me with a foot peg sized hole in my arm needing stitches, a possible break to my fibula, and strained tendons / ligaments in my shoulder put serious doubt to my weekend before it had begun. I managed to convinces the docs I was OK to race. Qualifying 10 seconds off my best time and running round 4 seconds off during the race was the worst pain I've had in a little while, I decided to not race the last one as I lost all feeling in my left hand during the third race. I can only say sorry to everyone that has committed to help me this year Bikesure / Chartwell insurance services, Parkitt racing, Balderston BMW and Eurotech Precision Engineering. My next race is at Snetterton at the end of April. Until then I am going to spend some time healing.
So after a week off training and pretty much everything, I've decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and get back to it. My 2015 Superstock bike is in a pretty bad way but is in the capable hands of the guys at HM Racing, I am hoping they get it ready for the next round of BSB at Brands as I am aiming to enter it. My 2012 power bike kept running out of electricity, after a strip down today I have cured the issue and its reading 14v across the terminals whilst running i.e charging.
Really cannot wait to get back on the bike with at BSB or with BEMSEE at Snetterton. I'm second to last in the power bike championship, I'm not giving up just yet I cannot wait to work my way up the leaderboard. #brokenleg #tornligaments #holeinthelbow #nevergiveup
